USABMX Header

The ABA/NBL merger is now complete. The volunteers at the tracks are working very hard to convert their riders memberships to the new USA BMX licenses. We are sorry for any confusion these changes have caused. We are learning about the changes along with you and will do our best to answer any questions you may have. In a few weeks, with all of the changes behind us, we will all be able to ride EVERY track in the USA with our licenses!! This is VERY exciting.

THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL FEES for the new license. Just paperwork to fill out. To print a copy of the new USA BMX license form to fill out & bring to the track CLICK HERE. Please also bring a copy of the riders birth certificate to be submitted with the form.

PLEASE remember to bring the receipt we give you with you to the track. It is your temporary license!!

Here is the information that was sent to us from the USA BMX staff::

This is a new and exciting time for our sport as we combine the membership of the ABA and NBL, and as such the process is evolving daily.  The team at USA BMX in the past 48 hours has received great feedback from ABA and NBL Track Directors alike.  Based on these discussions it has been determined that the proposed plan did not best serve the membership or the tracks.  To offer the maximum membership benefit possible, we have modified the plan that was presented on June 21, 2011, to read as follows:

“Any NBL rider with a valid NBL Membership, whether, monthly, annual, or 30 day, will receive a USA BMX membership for class and cruiser valid through December 31, 2011 valid at all ABA and NBL tracks.”

Any new or NBL renewal members will be required to purchase a new USA BMX license as previously outlined.  Additionally we want to clarify that riders with membership in both ABA and NBL will receive a USA BMX expiration date of December 31, 2011 or their current ABA expiration date, whichever is greater.

Vouchers to Riders Who Purchased Full Annual NBL Membership
Hopefully you have heard as of June 4, 2011, NBL tracks should charge riders for all local racing, and these fees are at your discretion as in the past.  For all practical purposes all fee structures including per event fees and membership fees shift to a format similar to 2010.  For those riders who purchased the paid in full NBL annual membership, USA BMX will issue class and cruiser memberships valid thru December 31, 2011 upon completion of the USA BMX Membership Form attached.  Riders will have both an NBL card and a USA BMX card.  The NBL card will be needed for NBL events through September and the USA BMX card will be needed for all ABA events.

For the remaining value of their NBL annual memberships, USA BMX will also issue vouchers that can be exchanged for racing at all NBL local, state, regional and national events and will expire December 31, 2011.  (The vouchers will not be valid at ABA events.)  The NBL staff is working tirelessly to input all races through June 3rd.  Once this is complete the rider’s evaluation calculations can be completed and the vouchers can be mailed.  These vouchers, in $1.00 and $5.00 increments, will be issued in an amount equal to the remaining balance of their respective memberships.
